A long-term client in the port logistics sector required a full replacement of the aging hydraulic power unit (HPU) and control system on their shiploader’s mobile gantry. The existing system, dating back to the 1980s, had become unreliable but was still in daily use as the port’s only bulk loading equipment for grain and feed products. The original hydraulic system was built into a retrofitted 20ft container located 20 meters above dock level, creating significant maintenance challenges. The equipment had to remain operational until installation of the new system to avoid disruption to vessel loading schedules. A fire incident in 2023 destroyed the old container and wiring, requiring emergency engineering and accelerated delivery.
